DANE EAGLE, State Representative and Majority Whip from Florida House District 77, was born and raised in Cape Coral, FL, and was elected to serve his hometown in the 77th District in 2012 at age 29. He has distinguished himself as a highly effective legislator by passing 34 bills through the Florida House, 22 of which have become law and focus on issues as varied as criminal justice, deregulation, and government accountability. He previously served as Chairman of the Energy & Utilities Subcommittee. Dane received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Florida, and he is a commercial real estate broker in his professional career. He enjoys spending his free time on the beautiful waters of Southwest Florida.
BILL TRUEX, Chairman of the Charlotte County Board of Commissioners, was born in Indiana and received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Indiana. He served on the Charlotte County Board of Zoning Appeals from 2009-2012, prior to being elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2012. He was elected as Vice Chairman in 2013, and in 2014 Chairman, and in 2015 and 2016 was re-elected as Chairman. Bill has worked in the corporate world for Roll Coater (division of Arvin Industries), AT&T, and Roadway Express prior to moving to Florida. He has been involved in real estate and construction for the majority of his career. He obtained state certified builders license and is the President and Owner of Truex Preferred Construction, which has been in business in Englewood, FL since 2005. Bill has served on many committees a few of which are the FL Association of Counties, District 30 Representative (2015-present), Co-Vice Chair of the National Association of Counties Veterans and Military Services (2015-present), the National Association of Counties Public Safety (2015-present), and the Immigration Reform Task Force.
